OTTAWA -- Statistics Canada says the economy added 9,300 jobs in December.
The unemployment rate held steady at 5.6 per cent.
Economists had expected the addition of 5,500 jobs and an unemployment rate of 5.7 per cent, according to Thomson Reuters Eikon.
